A peak into our Homeschool classroom

Since beginning homeschooling 4 years ago we have traveled around the house to do school. I first began at  our kitchen table and traveled to our comfy couch, but after realizing that being in the heart of our home was too distracting {for me} we made the switch to our loft. I am blessed to have such a handy father in law who built us the most wonderful shelving –perfect for our little space. You can take a peak at that here. I don’t know what I would do without all that extra storage! Our school room is part classroom and part playroom, and despite what these photos would lead you to believe…it is never clean. We are still in planning mode here and won’t officially start school for another week but feel free to look around anyway Winking smile

My corner of the room. I love my Ikea shelves with the drawers! They fit perfectly in that little corner.

Work boxes for the two oldest. I’m thinking of adding some for Olivia, since she has been so interested in “doing school” these days.

It’s a horrible picture, but here is our alphabet, number line, and our time line. We don’t have a lot of wall space and our ceiling is slanted and low, so it works for us to do it this way.

Our school table- where most of the action happens!

Although school time still occasionally happens in the kitchen, the living room and outside – I find it best to have a designated place for our focused time. It’s also nice to have one place to keep all our things.
