I borrowed this tip from an e-mail I received, but I tried it and it works!

 Expanding Frosting
 When you buy a container of cake frosting from the store, whip it with
 your mixer for a few minutes. You can double it in size. You get to
 frost more cake/cupcakes with the same amount. You also eat less sugar
 and calories per serving.

We have so many toys around our house, very few of which we have bought our selves, but with the help of friends and family members we have accumulated quite the collection. Of course with so many choices, there are very few toys that actually get played with. I have tried to solve this issue by rotating toys out, or not opening the gifts we receive right away. This way hidden toys are quickly forgotten, and when they are brought out on a day that I need them to amuse themselves for a little while without me, they are excited all over again.
