Meeting Julia in the kitchen.

I started the day with a to do list, and got caught up in the kitchen baking. Baking has been on my list of things I have wanted to do for a while now, but just haven’t had any time set aside to do it. After getting caught up on a few chores, the bowl of rotting slightly browning bananas caught my attention. I don’t know if it was their offensive appearance on my counter or that yucky smell they begin to give off when they have gone unnoticed for too long, or maybe it was the few fruit fly’s that decided to say hello, but I thought today would be a good day for banana bread. So it began. First I got excited about the banana bread, then I thought it would be a good idea to do something about the homemade bread on my counter that will soon be stale or moldy, so French toast it was. Oooh and what about all those extra strawberries and frozen blueberries? So muffins were added to the list. Then I got really excited because I remembered that the movie Julie and Julia was an instant play on Netflix and  I had been wanting to watch it so I grabbed my laptop, stuck it on the counter in front of me and off to work I went. It was a great chick flick, very cute. There was a little bit of language in it that caught me by surprise, which I always hate, but it was fun and definitely got me in the mood to keep baking/cooking. And of course since it was about cooking and blogging I had to jump right on here and tell you all about it.  🙂
