My little boy turns 4

I know I’m a little late in posting this, but I had to put it up anyway. Birthday season for us is now over. I love the planning of the parties but I always stress out and want to go way overboard. We had a sleepover party for Zoe, which included 12 6-7 year old girls. Only 7 ended up staying the night and they all had a great time. We joined up with two other little girls whose birthdays were also within the same week and we had a baking theme. We made home made pizza, and decorated cupcakes. Each girl got a baking kit, along with an apron and hat to decorate- They had a great time.
For Zack’s party we went with a pirate theme. This is the party I mostly stressed about because it was the day after Zoe’s sleepover and we had a lot going on that weekend. This party although it took some planning, actually turned out to be one of the easiest to pull off. We went with the “Party in a box” and it came with a tape that narrated the whole thing. We went on a treasure hunt where they had to look for clues to the treasure box. For each clue they had to complete an activity- this of course was the planning part, but the kids all had a great time. The weekend was a great sucess but I was glad it was over.

On his actual birthday we celebrated with his dinner of choice… Pizza and brownies

Here Zack was walking the plank

The lego ship was the best we could do for a mini pirate ship. I searched for weeks looking for one for this cake. Pardon the mess in the background. We were in the garage. Which by the way turned out to be the best decision we made. I don’t know why we never thought of putting the tables up in the garage before.
