Texas Weather

It actually snowed here on Monday night! Big beautiful snowflakes. Unfortunately it was already dark when it began so the children didn’t really get to experience the snow. But we had to be out and about for a little bit so they were able to at least see it. Zoe really had her heart set on catching a snowflake on her tongue, because according to her, that’s what you do in snow. She also had big plans of waking up the next day and making a snow angel. But as Texas weather tends to do it warmed up to nearly 60 degrees the next day and there was no snow to be seen. And sticking with Texas’ weather tradition, I do believe that it will be in the mid 70’s today. I would say that I’m looking forward to spring, but in the seven years we have lived here we have pretty much only experienced Summer and mild winters.  I can’t remember the last time I experienced a true spring and fall.
